In your role, you will:

  • Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft

  • Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations

  • Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks

  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations

  • Document work performed per Inspections Procedures Manual (IPM)

  • Work on aircraft as well as in shops

  • Perform other tasks, for example, cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, load and secure ballast and/or freight as required

  • Coordinate with technical representatives, lab, and other personnel in resolving systems or component problems

  • Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering specifications

  • Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges

  • Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations

  • Assist with engine removal and installation

  • Assist in development of installations for engineering

  • Assist with fueling/defueling aircraft as required

  • Assist Aircraft Engine Technicians and Aviation Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft

  • Support production aircraft under Production Certificate System

  • Assist Aviation Maintenance Technicians in the operation of ground support equipment (GSE), for example, tugs, jacks, nitrogen and oxygen servicing

  • Perform Designated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QA

  • Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification

  • Troubleshoot and perform complex electrical repairs at on-site and off-site locations

  • Troubleshoot and repair components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges

  • Assist with complete engine runs on Bombardier aircraft for assigned area

  • Transport aircraft as needed for maintenance using tugs

As our ideal candidate,

  • You will have typically 3 years electrical/avionics maintenance experience which must include 1 year of experience on jet aircraft

  • You will have 2 years electrical avionics technical school with certificate or equivalent military/vendor training

  • You will have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents, maintenance manuals and repair manuals

  • You will have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manuals

  • You will have the ability to read, write, and understand the English language

First Shift: Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pm; Monday – Friday 3:30pm – 12am; OR Monday – Thursday – 3:30pm – 2am Key Responsibilities * Ensures operating requirements of product are met by testing, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems to written specifications using general or specialized test equipment * Ensures that appropriate quality standards are met at the assigned workstation by observing departmental and company procedures consistently * Participates in ongoing efforts of process and product improvements by providing technical information and translation as required Minimum Requirements * Formal, post-high school training in Electronics * 1 year of experience in component-level electronics troubleshooting (classroom training is applicable) * Experience with general purpose electronic test equipment including voltmeters, oscilloscopes, or frequency counters. (classroom training is applicable) * Experience working from schematics (classroom training is applicable) * This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.
