Position Summary

The Technician in Technical Services is responsible to process orders, and manufacture and ship samples of Colorcon products accurately and on time. The Technician ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory and equipment. This position reports to the Manager - NA Technical Services Laboratory.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Carries out all duties in accordance with applicable laboratory, chemical hygiene, API and EHS Standard Operating Procedures.

• Weigh raw materials into appropriate lab equipment following Laboratory SOP.

• Convert or expand current product lines and keep proper records.

• Operate and maintain all lab equipment.

• Perform daily coating trials on small laboratory scale equipment for technical services. This will include immediate and delayed release film coatings.

• Document all batch records using RF barcode.

• Use computer to print all necessary documentation to be sent with samples.

• Once released from QC, package, label and ship samples.

• Maintains good housekeeping, order, and safety in the laboratory.

• Operate FedEx software.

• Repackaging of finished goods.

• This position may include some limited janitorial responsibilities (i.e. general trash removal from laboratory areas and common laboratory hallway upkeep).

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 1-year prior laboratory / GMP experience required.

• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills required.

• Must be a strong communicator both written and oral.

• Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
