JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, performs client treatment programs and activities as prescribed and provides technical assistance regarding therapeutic programs, methods, and equipment, in accordance with Benchmark Rehab Partners policies and procedures. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of BenchMark Rehab Partners.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

  • Education High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Skills Ability to communication effectively, knowledge of physical therapy equipment and care, ability to follow written and oral instruction, ability to assist and prepare patients for treatment with various therapy exercises and equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience Experience preferably in a medical office setting.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Patient Care Activities To include use of hot packs and cold packs, performance of therapeutic US as directed by the Physical Therapist, supervising exercises that have been previously taught by the Physical Therapist, disconnecting patients from electrical stimulation units, assisting patients in setting exercise equipment, use of dumbbells, theraband, etc., transcribe information in the charts (checking off the exercise flow sheet by recording reps/weights, writing the name/date/ICD-9 code on billing sheets after the initial evaluation of the patient and other pertinent activities as deemed necessary.

  • Clinical Duties To include laundry-wash, dry, and fold, clean tables in between patient use, stocking carts with towels, pillowcases, etc.; cleaning of the exercise equipment at least once a day and more frequently as warranted, assisting with the tidiness of the clinic as needed to include emptying trash, vacuuming, straightening up the waiting room and other duties as deemed necessary.

  • Office Duties To include answering phones/how to operate the phones, how to take a referral, how to schedule patients including documenting cxl, NS and R/S of patients, how to take a co-pay/patient supply order, where to locate a supply for the clinic or for patient purchase, how to locate charts in the chart drawer, where necessary paper work is located, how to make up a new chart, how to use copiers/fax machine, how to administer initial evaluation paperwork and other tasks deemed necessary.

Position Overview: Primary responsibility is performing and/or overseeing maintenance on all plant machinery (compressed air system, heat reclaimer, boiler, HVAC, water softener, electrical systems etc). Manage a staff of maintenance mechanics. Utilize proper skilled techniques to assure the safe, efficient operation of all plant machinery. Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all necessary reports and paperwork. Document all work performed. Essential Functions: THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY CONTAIN SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: * Recruit, select, hire, develop and educate Maintenance Technicians. Coach to improve performance. Hold technicians accountable for meeting goals established by the Market Center. * Create time effective work schedules. * Maintain / Repair or replace equipment when necessary and perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical and building repair work when necessary. * Order necessary parts, tools, equipment, etc. in a timely manner by following company policies. * Maintain a complement of critical spares on the shelf for plant equipment and maintain parts inventory (quantity and value matches with the records). * Perform root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/ failures, take required corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions * Track utility consumption data, prepare reports and circulate it for management review, propose/ implement corrective actions or solutions to control these costs. * Communicate and co-ordinate with the equipment suppliers to resolve plant equipment related issues * Maintain satisfactory Market Center targets for cost controls and downtime. * Create and implement preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation/ industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment. * Support an environment of continuous improvement by making/implementing suggestions. * Drive company Action Plans and hold the mechanics accountable for executing against those plans. * Maintain close coordination with production department to resolve equipment breakdowns and other production related opportunities. * Through implementation and execution of company safety initiatives, create an environment where safety is a primary concern.
