We are looking for a Technician 2 to add to our Solid State team.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures and layouts on SS Relays, Power Devices and Substrate.

  • Maintain a labor book/log, prepares reports, and recommends solutions to technical problems as required

  • Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested, ability to use equipment for a variety of applications


  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED), technical training/certification preferred

  • 1-2 years of previous/related experience in the use of electrical equipment

  • Must have knowledge of power products Fault Isolation, Manual Testing and Automatic Testing on power SSPC devices

  • Must have good eye-hand coordination to use small hand tools

  • Must have good working knowledge of computers, and good knowledge of basic math

  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/diagram form instructions and be able to deal with problems with concrete variables

  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications and drawings

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to transition as needed to stand/walk/climb or balance/stoop, bend, kneel or crouch/talk or hear; will frequently use hands to finger to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs safely

  • VISION Requirements:
    must be able to distinguish and identify colors, have peripheral vision and 3D depth perception (vision with ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) with the ability to adjust focus throughout

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and be in contact with moving mechanical equipment/parts; Ability to tolerate a moderate noise level environment (business office environment, light traffic)

  • Candidate must be a U.S. person

Sheet Metal Technician - 2nd Shift Responsibilities: * Ability to prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations. This includes custom punch/die modification used in combination with other tooling (either standard or custom) * Complex Programming using all the features of a press brake (bending at angles, step bends, proper back gauge transfer between steps, delays, etc.) * Must have full understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part * Thorough understanding of flat pattern layout Basic Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * 5 years of experience working with precision equipment (scales, calipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.) * Experience with setup and operation of CNC and Manual Hydraulic Press Brakes Preferred Skills and Experience: * Programming and CNC knowledge * Ability to meet daily/weekly production goals with critical time schedules * Ability to read blueprints and complete basic shop math * Experience with flat pattern layouts on sheet metal parts * Ability to hold close tolerances on sheet metal parts per engineering drawings * Strongly prefer experience with Amada style RG, HG, and HDS Hydraulic press brakes Additional Requirements: * Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position * Must be available for overtime and weekend hours ITAR REQUIREMENTS: * To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
