Role Summary/Purpose

This role is working in PCBA board test on 2nd shift.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Technician FAT Cabinets Tech you will,:

  • Test finished cabinet assemblies (i.e. read and understand wiring diagrams, end to end wiring tests, mechanical layout checks, hi-pot insulation tests)

  • Perform Functional tests on installed equipment

  • Set up customer computers and associated networks

  • Update technical and quality documentation

  • Act as technology resource for the production floor (cabinet assembly)

  • Learn and use Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality and efficiency

  • Test monitoring systems (i.e. 3500) which includes downloading configuration files, applying test signals

  • Execute FAT test plans and recording test results

  • Interface with customers during Factory Acceptance Tests

  • Assist Project Engineers with changes to 3500 and S1 configurations

  • Perform other duties as necessary to support Cabinet Shop team

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in Electronic trouble shooting

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

  • Be in a manufacturing environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

  • Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs. safely.

  • Work around approved chemicals

  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

Desired Characteristics

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently within defined work scope

  • Meticulous eye for quality

  • Ability to work in a standing position

  • Familiar with Local Area (Ethernet) Networks

  • Strong computer skills using Windows Operating Systems (XP, Server)

  • Six Sigma / Green Belt Certified or equivalent Quality training

  • Strong computer skills using MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts

  • Customer service skills

VIEW JOBS 2/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-16T00:00 The Position Reprographics Technicians operate reprographics and related equipment ranging from desktop publishing equipment to digital composition front-end systems to lay out and reproduce a variety of materials such as forms, tables, letterhead, catalogs, brochures, maps, research publications, and magazines. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. This position is located in the Administrative Services Division, Carson City. Incumbent is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various printer, scanner, and bindery equipment in the Reprographics unit, in order to produce a variety of NDOT publications and materials. This position will provide customer consultation and set up and produce jobs using software and digital printing presses, wide-format printer/scanner and related reprographics equipment; set up and operate bindery equipment, including collating, folding, cutting, stitching, drilling, stapling, comb and wire bonding to finish printed materials; completing purchasing requisitions for supply orders and placing service calls to keep equipment and jobs running smoothly. This position must maintain quality standards for finished products and deliver customer service at a high level in a deadline-driven environment. This position also serves as back-up to the mailroom.
