Job Title: Technical Writer-Documenting APIs

Job Description:
InfoPeople Corporation is currently seeking an Technical Writer with our direct client in their New Hyde Park, NY location. This is 8 Months contract position.
Looking for only local candidates, F2F Interview!
Description:
The ideal candidate must have at least 5+ years of Technical Writing experience with knowledge of APIs and Web services (SOAP/ REST).
Candidates should be able to read from the Technical API/ Web service documentation and translate into simpler representation.
Candidates should have strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible to changes/updates that might need to take place on the fly.
Responsibilities
Experience with Open API Specifications and Swagger Hub is a plus.
Work with the Architects, Development Team and Product to understand the requirements needed and translate the API specs into an easy-to-understand documentation.
Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Translate concepts and ideas into effective communications with internal and external users.
Work with Engineering, Product Management, Advertising, Marketing, and Senior Management to help standardize content across platforms and media.
Build framework and templates for documentation.
Document technical capabilities and solutions for internal customers including APIs, code samples, walkthroughs, business processes, workflows, etc.
Build internal documentation portal/web presence for the team(s).
Expert in technical writing, modeling process flows, data relationship flows and event sequencing. Able to understand the logic of code and to construct complex data queries.
Advanced Business and Data Analysis, Business Process and Application Knowledge.
Help create and distribute content style guides for other teams looking to build out and create an API strategy.
Collaborate with product to execute content against a prioritized backlog such that maximum value is delivered to users.
Long term key stakeholder and advocate for engagements with the community.
Requirement
Expertise in PowerPoint, Visio, and other MS Office products.
Familiarity with Version Control Principles
Strong writing skills, with attention to grammar and formatting
Ability to distill complex subject matter into simplified PowerPoint presentations
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Information, Information Science, Computer Science or Business Administration, required. * Minimum of two (2) years experience in a technical support, business analysis or Project management role in a clinical or healthcare environment.
