The purpose of the Technical Writer is to play a critical role in translating technical information into organized content for use by system facing users. This individual has practical, relevant experience in compiling software information with subject-matter experts into usable documents.
The primary scope of responsibility includes effectively working with the development and product management teams to create informative and useful help documents for end users, partners, and field support teams.
Supports Wdata product team to lead the effort of documenting and delivering technical information.
Identifies product and user content requirements, manages the associated backlog of requests, and prioritizes the order of delivery for greatest customer impact.
Examples of requirements include: API documentation, user training, onboarding guides, help content, FAQs, field materials for implementation team, etc.
Communicates technical information to product stakeholders: Works with internal and external stakeholders throughout the systems development life cycle to write and edit technical documents.
Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to explore new approaches that will provide the best support for users.
Produces clear and accurate written technical material for products and features.
Creates content that increases user engagement and encourages them to try new products and features while maintaining consistency across text.
