We are seeking a Technical Writer Intern in our Dayton, OH office for the Summer Semester (May August).
The Technical Writer Intern will be responsible for working with internal resources to assist with reviewing and editing current documents (resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate text, etc.), firm wide documents and technical documents and revising to meet company defined standards. This includes editing for grammar and punctuation as well as appropriate graphic selection and placement. They will also be responsible for editing proposals before submission for grammar/punctuation/and overall readability. They will help write and maintain new documents that meet company defined standards.
Working as part of the integrated Proposals Development team
Assisting with editing and reviewing resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate text, etc. prior to documents being sent to clients
Creating and maintaining documents that meet company defined standards
Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, with at least sophomore status
Must be studying Technical Writing, English, or related field
Must have a general understanding and working knowledge of all Microsoft Suite products
Must have a high attention to detail and possess a strategic thinking ability
Must be comfortable with working against tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment
