As a Technical Writer, youll be joining a cutting-edge global development team working in a cross-departmental role writing customer facing and internal documentation for software products.
You will become a multi-product expert, capable of explaining both existing and in-development features and functionality.

Will work in a cross-departmental role across multiple technology products with the facilitation of drafting release notes based on user stories and tasks completed in sprints. Documentation in the release notes will explain issues and resolutions in a concise, consistent, and easy-to-understand descriptions across all global technology products.
Will build, organize and implement consistent structure of our Confluence documentation sites across our technology products for easy consumption of our internal technology & support teams.
Write FAQ pages, user manuals, reference guides and training materials.
Script sprint demos for the technical team delivering the sprint.
Responsible for ensuring documentation that can be handed to customers/prospects who need clarification on our end-to-end technical setup. Documentation should be written summary of key points as well as any supporting diagrams (to a level agreed as non-sensitive).
Responsible for ensuring technical bid writers have access to this documentation and are trained enough to be able to answer the majority of RFP questions without seeking help from the development teams.
Point of escalation to answer any questions that the customer cannot answer from reading the documentation or which cannot be answered by a Technical Bid Writer.
Rapid understanding of complex systems, both hardware and software, and ability to translate technical concepts into simplistic grade school language for end users.

Skills and Experience Required:
Prior technical writing experience (2-3 years)
Experience developing guides and manuals
Understanding of software development practices
Experience in Agile development methodology
Experience with Atlassian JIRA & Confluence
Experience with Visio or Lucidcharts
Ability to work alone or on a team and to take direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary The Senior Technical Writer acquires and analyzes product information, and develops and maintains end-user documents including but not limited to user manuals, service manuals, quick reference guides, training materials, instruction sheets, DICOM conformance statements, and related product labeling for our medical imaging products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs. * Research, plan, outline and write technical documents to support medical imaging and industrial imaging products and projects * Performs Technical Publications administrative duties, such as filing, copying, binding, and archiving, as required and assigned * Maintains the electronic and hardcopy libraries of released and archived material * Attends planned training on departmental procedures, and on general product principles and operations. Pro-actively solicits training from in-house technical experts (project managers, engineers, applications specialists, etc.) to help with design and development of technical documentation * Originates, investigates and researches Engineering change Requests (ECOs) and coordinates technical documentation change efforts to ensure timely completion of change packages (including fulfilling Agile requirements as directed) through approval * Conducts or participates in Engineering Desing Review and Labeling Design Review meetings as directed * Creates templates for the Technical Publications department as requested or required * Ensures design and production methods and processes are executed in a manner which supports the Quality Policy as well as all ISO Quality System procedures and guidelines * Other duties as required Education * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Experience * Three to five years related experience writing technical documents for a medical device manufacturing facility a plus Skills * Understanding electro-mechanical assembly/dis-assembly processes, user interfaces, and field calibration and alignment procedures * Strong Windows based computer literacy and file management abilities specializing in maintaining a digital archive library * Understanding of MRP's and engineering release standards and processes * Proficiency with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (including Access and * Visio) is required.
