Job Description:

The incumbent shall perform the functions of a technical writer and configuration manager in support of Combat System Alignment (CSA) group of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division and is responsible for:

• Formatting of alignment documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Combat System Alignment Manuals, Technical Alignment Procedures, etc.)

• Technical review and possible content creation of alignment documentation

• Configuration control manager/IPT (integrated product team) of alignment documentation

• Up to 20 hours weekly

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen

• Must have an active U.S. Security Clearance level Secret

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 3 or more years in technical document writing/editing and document configuration management

• Microsoft Office (Office, Word)

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation including but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.

Salary Description

$28.00-$35.00 per hour
