Technical Writer III

Amentum is seeking a Technical Writer III to assist our Navy customer with systems and technical engineering services. We will implement your expertise through a disciplined and rigorous Systems Engineering (SE) process across all mission areas of the system under development and sustainment.

Using your prowess and experience, help our customer define, document, and follow an open systems approach using modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely supported consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and elements that comprise the specific system.

Technical Writer III Responsibilities Include:

• Perform technical/engineering processes relating to software development and design for the purposes of developing and maintaining software operator/user manuals and IA system administrator documentation.

• Creates and publishes technical documentations and manuals.

• Collects and interprets technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication.

• Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.

• Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in any graphic arts discipline or English discipline

• Technical Writer III: Six (6) years of full-time professional experience in the development, review, and/or

production of DOD-related technical documentation

• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
