About the role:

We currently have an open position at our Arden Hills/St Paul Facility for a Design Technical Writer II supporting Cardiac Rhythm Management. This role will support key internal customers, New Product Development,Sustaining Engineering, Externals/OEM as well as strategic projects within the Information Documentation Services (IDS) team.

The Technical Writer will create and plan the layout and content of documents and templates; enforce the Boston Scientific Quality System standards; interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to Boston Scientific's needs; and initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional writing projects to meet business requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Plan, analyze, and create manufacturing documentation using technical writing theories, methods, and tools.

  • Enforce the Boston Scientific Quality System standards. Interpret and advocate industry technical writing standards and adapt them to Boston Scientific's needs.

  • Ensure document content quality by consistently managing and organizing information for accuracy and readability.

  • Identify, analyze, recommend, and implement solutions to cross-functional projects relating to technical writing and business process efficiencies.

  • Establish and manage relationships from document to document, within document content, or to other points of reference for product information.

  • Initiate, coordinate, and lead cross-functional writing projects; negotiate project priorities, deliverables, and timelines to meet the needs of compliance and supported functional areas.

  • Explore new writing methods and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

  • Provide work direction, mentor, and train less experienced writers and supported groups.

  • Initiate and support continuous improvement activities at a personal, departmental, and cross-functional level.

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience OR Masters' degree with 1 - 3 Years of relevant experience

  • Previous experience using Microsoft Word Templates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with XML

  • Manufacturing knowledge or experience

  • Previous experience in a medical device or other regulated industry

  • Knowledge of Boston Scientific and its products

Process Development Engineer II About the role: * This experienced engineer will work on product and process development to lead the design and commercialization of new cutting edge technology at our Arden Hills facility. * The candidate must have a desire to utilize their skills to solve technical/complex problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast paced environment, and across multiple functions in a global company. * The successful candidate for this position will provide strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation. * Use your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective commercialization of new products and targeted improvements. * This position offers the opportunity to support process development and product commercialization throughout Boston's global plant network. * Works cross-functionally to develop capable process and complex technologies on new products and ensures efficient and effective transfer of product into production Your responsibilities include: * Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes. * Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation. * Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems. * Prepares and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews. * Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes. * Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.) * Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests. * Develops qualified production lines. * Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package. * Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. * May serve as a core team lead or extended team member on new development projects. * Possibly supervisor and/or mentor engineers with the team. What we're looking for: Minimum Qualifications * BS in Engineering or Chemistry and 2+ years of experience * Demonstrated use of DFSS tools (DOE, problem solving) * 2+ years of demonstrated process development / improvement activities * Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment * Demonstrated ability to develop processes from concept to production * Open to occasional travel of up to 25% of their time.
