As a Technical Writer at Exago, you will be responsible for the written product documentation and learning materials we provide for our clients and users. You will play a critical role in educating people of all needs and backgrounds about the inner workings of Exago's products.

This role requires the ability to understand how software works at a functional level and translate that knowledge into useful documentation, examples, and stories for users with varying levels of technical expertise. You will be expected to develop intimate product knowledge and to learn to speak the language of a unique marketplace.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write documentation and help materials for various audiences, ranging from end-users to developers
  • Update and maintain user and technical guides, knowledgebase content, and release notes
  • Document new features and find ways to improve upon and expand existing materials
  • Brainstorm and implement creative approaches to documentation content, systems, and workflows

Requirements



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills
  • Technical writing, software, or programming background is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to engage and learn from others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with industry report writers, such as Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Domo
  • Understanding of relational databases and data principles
  • Published writing, e.g. newspaper, academic paper, creative, etc.
  • Experience with copy editing
