Encadria Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a Technical Writer at Georgia-Pacifics manufacturing facility in Mt. Holly, NC. We are looking to hire a professional individual who will have overall responsibility for the collection, collaboration, creation and documentation of training materials used in a paper manufacturing environment.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
Maintain records and files of work and revisions
Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel
Confer with operators, vendors, plant executives, or publisher to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content
Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material
Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail
Interview production, engineering personnel, read journals, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail
Organize material in PSQ format to load in Convergence LMS
Analyze developments in specific field to determine need for revisions in previously published materials and development of new material
Review manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment


Requirements:
What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2 yrs. of collecting, creating and publishing training materials
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and the ability to learn other computer software programs
Ability to work overtime or on weekends when required

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong people, communication, and organizational skills with ability to work with a diverse group of people both in office and hourly production areas
Attention to Detail
Ability to work with very limited supervision
Ability to work in a team environment

The Paint Production Supervisor provides leadership, support and direction to the manufacturing team members in Body Repair, Cab/Hood Paint, Chassis paint and Touch up Paint, which include robotic and manual application of Axalta Paint. Responsibilities * Mentor and develop 50-75 production team members * Achieve daily build targets in all areas, while maintaining a high quality level in all areas of the Paint Department * Drive the team to improve Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's). * Adherence to Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives * Assess and analyze current practices and drive improvements within the Paint Department * Partner and coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, onsite Axalta staff and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns * Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR an associate's degree with 4 years of related experience OR 8 years of related experience required * At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required * An attached resume is required * Prior management experience of similarly sized manufacturing team required * High-level leadership and decision making skills required * Good understanding of mechanical and standardized paint processes required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills required * A strong sense of urgency and drive to succeed required * Proficiency in MS Office required * Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness preferred * Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness preferred * Ability to use problem solving methods and techniques to successfully and efficiently resolve problems preferred * The ideal candidate has a strong Paint background, is analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and works well in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment.
