Technical Writer (Darpa)

ECS is seeking a Technical Writer (DARPA) to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

Anticipate start is early May 2024.

ECS is preparing to provide critical support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DAPRA), specifically to the Director's Office (DIRO). Come join our team to help maintain the technological superiority of the U.S. military.

This billet is in direct support of the DARPA Front Office. Candidate needs to provide this highest level of professional support.

Required Skills:

• Active DoD security clearance required.

• US Citizenship required per contract.

• 5+ Years prior experience supporting as a Technical Writer.

• Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to perform proof reading and quality control on technical documents and slides.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.

• Must have good rapport at dealing with the public, customer service expertise, excellent oral/written communication skills, and excellent organizational & time-management skills.

• Demonstrated experience must include at least three (3) years creating, compiling, and editing computer-generated documentation including technical text and graphics.

• Strong spelling and grammar skills and ability to put documents in proper format is required.

Desired Skills:

• Preferred Bachelors Degree.

• At least one (1) year experience working with DARPA Program Managers.

• Additional education or relevant professional certifications highly desirable.
