The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, updating, and writing various types of user documentation, requirements, design specifications, references, manuals and instructions in support of LIS Analysis Program Management Support.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Consult with customers to document business requirements, operational level process models, and functional requirements documentation

  • Write technical specifications for a variety of systems

  • Authors, edits, rewrites, authenticates and verifies with SMEs that all documentation (paper and electronic) and knowledge base materials that have been created are consistent for use by the customer.

  • Ensures proper storage, delivery and archiving of all documentation including SharePoint through all phases of contact and delivery

  • Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals

  • Interface with different groups to ensure that a consistent, clear, concise message is developed and maintained in all materials. Assure standardization of terms, format, controls and documentation. Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand

  • Prepare charts, graphs or forms

  • Write clear and concise policies and procedures

  • Adhere to configuration management for documentation versioning

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs

  • Write detailed description of user needs

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Experience developing process flows, methods and procedures, functional requirement documentation.

  • Must be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. Must

display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent open and proactive written communication skills with focus on grammatical and usability skills.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications to include Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and VISIO.

  • Knowledge of business process development and improvement.

  • Previous experience in external customer-facing technical support.

Experience with MARCORLOGCOM organization and business processes

  • Experience with USMC enterprise logistics operations, procedures, processes, and data systems such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR).

  • Experience with USMC MARCORLOGCOM Legacy, Current, and Future systems such as Global Command Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Enterprise Logistics Support Systems (ELS2), Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS), Master Database Repository (MDR).

This position ensures effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, operating systems, software and related infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Technical Support Specialist ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and security requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken. Tests applications to ensure servers and switches are in compliance with Information Systems Agency (DISA), security technical implementation guidelines (STIG). Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. Prevents backdoor security risks by monitoring systems access control and anomalies. Ensures data, equipment and personnel security are enforced by conducting security checks and inspections. Monitors and tests changes with the IT environment that affect Cyber security posture. Maintains and controls physical security of the datacenter. Verifies and signs System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR's) for network and privilege user access. Uses Splunk to review log files and audits access to systems. Creates and tracks audit reports and metrics. Reports issues to Cybersecurity management. Verifies the accuracy of and digitally signs SAAR's. Assists with maintaining audit preparedness. Implements and enforces all Marine Corps cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures. Ensures professional, courteous and helpful customer service is always provided. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers.
