Technical Writer

An IT Technical Writer and Document Manager job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available through Belcan at one of our aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have two or more years of experience managing documentation and technical writing, preferably for Information Technology. In this role, you will be responsible working with the Information Technology specialists to identify gaps in available documentation, capture knowledge from the organization, and to present the information inside of ServiceNow in clear and exact detail. This is a very visible position that will work directly with the client on numerous activities.

Job Duties:

• Ensure documentation is understandable and clearly written.

• Work with document authors to produce clear and understandable documents for the user community.

• Transfer documents between knowledge systems.

• Proofread and reformat documentation.

• Manage document updates and expiration.

• Coordinate with the IT management team to create and deliver announcements and communications.

• Create new documents and information articles.

• Manage content within the knowledge and learning management systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be US person and have (or be eligible to obtain) a DoD Secret security clearance, with investigation date within the last five years and IA certifications at or above the level of Security+.

• Experience working with ServiceNow's Knowledge Module.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong skills with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.

• Technical writing experience.

• Strong IT fundamentals. Must be comfortable with basic+ IT terminology and be able to converse with IT staff to complete documentation.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $75,000-$90,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
