For BioDot's commercialization organization, this role is responsible for preparation (i.e., writing and /or editing) of technical documentation for automation products & applications. Responsible for planning and preparing technical materials for product introductions for a variety of audiences - users, application specialists, service engineers, salespeople, etc. Act as liaison between company personnel and outside vendors as necessary. Assist in coordination of work efforts within the Marketing Department. The ideal candidate will embody passion, energy, creativity, and tenacity in accomplishing the objectives and responsibilities as listed below.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Leverage digital and direct marketing tools and tactics to drive demand and lead-generation from prospect to downstream conversion
- Design, write, produce, and manage marketing content and collateral that supports the customer's journey from awareness through decision
- Build strategic partnerships with external agencies
- Explore and implement strategies to effectively unseat, marginalize, or keep off balance our competitors
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather all pertinent information, write and prepare the following:
- Instruction/Operating/Programmers Manuals (hardware and software)
- Service Manuals
- User Guides
- Start Up Guides
- Copy for Data Sheets
- Template Text for Marketing Collateral
- Instruction sheets/Package inserts
- Revision History
- Assist Product & Market Mangers, as necessary, in preparation of various promotional items to be used for Marketing Collateral and possible Marketing Activities.
- Assist in design, layout and typesetting when necessary.
- Act as coordinator of long-term projects (includes scheduling meetings, preparation of Gantt charts, etc.) to ensure that the required technical materials are properly and completely represented in technical documentation required for products.
- Work as liaison with company personnel (R&D, marketing, sales, product management, etc.) and outside vendors.
- Liaise with Corporate Marketing, Investor Relations, and Corporate Legal to ensure compliance with corporate branding, messaging, etc.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS' Code of Business Conduct.
- Ensure activities comply with Corporate and HSE policies and procedures.

Additional Information
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related subject or 5+ years practical work experience in technical writing a must
Experience:
- Experience in scheduling and coordinating helpful.
- Minimum of one to three years' experience in technical publications with knowledge of customer requirements, various company products, purpose and structure of a document, and user's level of understanding.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD programs, Desktop Publishing/Page Layout Software, Graphic Editing Software, Screen Capture Programs, Video Editing Programs, etc.
- Ability to interact harmoniously with all departments.
- Technical aptitude is a must, and candidate should be able to speak to examples of demonstrated competency of a technical nature.
- Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with thorough follow-up and organization of all open and pending activities to be addressed.
- Excellent analytical, time and project management/execution, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in unstructured environment and manage complex situations and multiple priorities with positive outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills.
This salary range for this role is $80-$85K.
