Title: Technical Writer
Job Type:Long Term Contract


Initiate Quality Records and conduct deviation investigations that meet both Industry.

Lead or manage investigations including root cause analysis and product impact assessment using input from Subject Matter Experts or department representatives.

Develop, execute and oversees CAPAs resulting from deviation investigations or as part of the general process improvement.

Assure that investigations are technically sound and meet quality expectations. Perform Effectiveness Check to assure corrective actions and preventative actions are effective.

Assist in completing Change Controls.

Lead and support Continuous Improvement projects.

Conducts data gathering, trending, and data presentation as needed to support investigations.

VIEW JOBS 10/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-20T00:00 <p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Technical Writer </p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Washington DC Metro Area</p><p>Swingtech is currently seeking a Technical Writer to support Cyber Security Operations Support is to be responsible for leading and developing technical writing support services for the government Agency</p><p>As a Cyber Technical Writer, you will write concise, engaging, accessible documentation that adheres to Swingtech&rsquo;s style guidelines. The Cyber Technical Writer works under general direction of managers and senior team members.</p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><p>At least five years&rsquo; experience in writing and editing for cyber and information security program to include policies, standards, and procedures, based on the NIST SP 800 series, NIST Cybersecurity and Risk Management Frameworks.</p><ul><li>Strong background in cyber security operations, risks and controls identification and assessment.</li><li>Strong background in cyber governance, risk and compliance, including relevant experience in authoring information security policies, standards and procedures.</li><li>Must have excellent research and technical writing skills, with the ability to independently research and author cyber and information security policies, standards and procedures.</li><li>Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to collaborate with information security and business leaders to author, socialize and publish cyber and information security policies, standards and procedures.</li></ul><ul><li>Certification in IT/security (CISSP, Security+, GIAC, ITIL) preferred but not required. </li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive understanding of federal information security and compliance policies, directives, and publications; and shall maintain awareness of relevant cyber-related policy issues.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Comprehensive understanding of federal security regulatory requirements and security frameworks, including RMF, NIST SP 800-series, FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, etc.<br /></li><li>Creates, manages, and maintains setup documentation and security policies for compliance and accreditation purposes for all programs, including SOPs, policies, procedures, plans, and more.<br /></li><li>Prepares, standardizes, edits, and finalizes documentation, incorporating information provided by system administrators, specialists, analysts, engineers and operations personnel. Need to build SOPs.<br /></li><li>Creates, updates, and maintains templates, guidelines, checklists, presentations, and training guides in alignment with the RMF guidelines for the organization&rsquo;s cybersecurity needs. Need to build cybersecurity handbook.<br /></li><li>Reviews and comments on materials related to technical documentation and reports, cybersecurity policies and procedures, and planning materials.<br /></li><li>Writes, edits, and develops graphical presentations of technical information for both technical and non-technical personnel. Need assistance in creating newsletters, security posters, and tips of the day etc.<br /></li><li>Organizes and completes writing assignment material according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. <br /></li><li>Maintains records and files of work and revisions regarding IT operational policies and procedures.
