Overview: As a Technical Writer within Customer Success at Alteryx, you'll be responsible for developing detailed case studies for how Alteryx customers leverage the platform to drive actionable insights. The development process will include interviewing customers, writing content, developing diagrams as necessary and performing content reviews. You'd also work alongside teams across the company to understand customer use cases, assimilate feedback, and communicate highly technical information in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.

Position Details:

  • Understand customer solution and Alteryx usage

  • Develop and conduct an interview process to gather relevant use case details

  • Lead customer content reviews

  • Solicit and implement feedback from the Customer Success team and subject matter experts

  • Set personal timelines and schedules to accommodate shifting priorities

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and desire to work within the analytics space

  • Live & breathe writing. Feels comfortable taking both a narrative, story-telling approach as well as an expository approach

  • Passionate about working with customers and comfortable interviewing them to understand their experience. Ideally, can speak to an analyst persona and understand technical jargon

  • Entrepreneurial spirit - can drive own success and be resourceful


  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in technical writing, product documentation, or instructional design, preferably in a cloud-based enterprise software company

  • Experience working within the BI/analytics space highly preferred.

  • Expertise with content authoring software and familiarity with source control tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Enjoys collaborating and innovating with team members and development teams

  • Ability to translate technical information into language that is easily understood by an end-user

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment

  • Innovative and motivated to improve current team and organizational processes

  • Familiarity with agile processes and ceremonies

  • Travel up to 15-20% will be required.

About the Role: Marketing Copy Writer We are looking for a Marketing Copy Writer to join our marketing content team and enrich our considerable assets with expertly crafted website and campaign content, blogs, articles and other marketing copy that is always on-message, succinct and crisp, punchy and pithy – and of course, spotlessly spellchecked, perfectly punctuated and flawlessly aligned with AP and our own corporate style. The Marketing Copy Writer needs to be a consummate wordsmith, capable of creating compelling copy for all conceivable uses and occasions – for publication across all of our global communications channels. We're looking for someone who can write in all forms – longform, shortform and freeform – ready and willing to apply their formidable talents to whatever needs arise and anything the job at hand requires. Both agency and in-house B2B and B2C writing experience will be put to good use. Your responsibilities will also include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and assisting in proofreading and editing content such as reports, white papers, data sheets and solution briefs before publication. Additional duties may include producing one or more of the following: * Web copy such as product pages or asset landing pages * Descriptions/abstracts for speaking sessions in webcasts or in-person events * Email copy – both formal marketing announcements as well as conversational copy for sales communications * Copy for digital banners, motion graphics, infographics and direct mailers * Scripts for videos, radio and/or TV ads Ultimately, you'll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness. If you're familiar with producing a broad spectrum of online and offline content, have a keen eye for detail, and are driven to achieve excellence in all your endeavors, you'll fit right in.
