Technical Writer

Position Summary:

The Technical Writer in the Medical Device space will play a crucial role in ensuring that our medical devices and health software meet the highest standards of cybersecurity. This individual will be responsible for staying abreast of new and evolving cybersecurity standards, translating these complex requirements into clear and actionable guidelines for our internal teams, and disseminating this information through our intranet site to promote best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze new and changed cybersecurity standards relevant to medical devices.

• Create comprehensive documentation that outlines these standards in an accessible format for technical and non-technical staff.

• Post updates, guidelines, and best practices related to medical device cybersecurity on the company's intranet site.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in writing robust standards for health software security.

• Assist in developing procedures for secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) tailored to the unique needs of medical device software.

• Conduct thorough sanity checks on all documentation to prevent circular references and ensure logical consistency

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.

• [Nice to have] Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially as they apply to medical devices and health software.

• Excellent written communication skills with an ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
