The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so no one must worry where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, weve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:

As the Technical Training Specialist at the Food Bank, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee culture and driving growth and development within the organization. You will be at the forefront of innovation and excellence in training development and delivery, leveraging automation, technology, and metrics mastery to enhance the People Experience Team's processes and elevate the Food Banker experience.

You will drive learning through developing and delivering training, spearheading impactful automation projects to enhance the People Experience Team processes and to improve the Food Banker experience and compile and report on key measures of success.

This role is all about creating learning experiences that empower our team members to thrive in their roles. Collaborating with subject matter experts, you will craft comprehensive training curriculum and leverage technology to deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences. Furthermore, you will compile and report on key measures of success to gauge the effectiveness of training initiatives. Utilizing your mastery of metrics, you will analyze data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and inform strategic decision-making.

You'll champion our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives by supporting various efforts, including employee onboarding and projects focused on nurturing the growth of our Food Bankers. The ideal candidate for this role is creative, detail oriented, organized, has exceptional presentation and facilitation skills and expert technical skills.

What You'll Do:

Training and Customer Service:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive customer service training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service to our stakeholders

  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops; fostering the development of essential job skills and organizational behaviors aligned with the values of the Food Bank

  • Create engaging training materials, such as manuals, videos, and interactive modules to reinforce key concepts and ensure consistent delivery of high quality service to a diverse set of stakeholders internally and externally

  • Consistently infuse diversity, equity and inclusion principles into training content and delivery, ensuring that all Food Bankers feel valued, respected and empowered to contribute to the mission and engage in discussions and learning

Automation & Metrics Mastery:

  • Champion automation initiatives; spearhead automation projects across the People Experience Team to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance the user experience

  • Implement metric tracking to assess training effectiveness, identify areas for improvement and facilitate data informed decision making

  • Identify opportunities for automation; leverage technology tools and software to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce manual errors, and free up time for other efforts

What Youll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:

  • Must be able to demonstrate success in presenting and facilitating topics for a diverse group of stakeholders on a variety of subject matters.

  • Track record of driving automation projects to improve efficiency

  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment and interacting with diverse groups of people in a professional manner

  • Strong attention to detail and patience for navigating messy data

  • Demonstrated success in data reporting, data visualization and associated tools

  • Demonstrated knowledge working with Excel databases and reporting tools

Even Better if you have:

  • Experience working with people from diverse ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds

  • Experience Writing SOPs / Training Manuals
