Training and Development Specialist

The Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Technical Training Center is looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented training professional.

The Technical Training Center is responsible for the creation, delivery, and oversight of technical training provided at RMD including skills and performance training, safety training and compliance training.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in torque, safety-wire, and soldering.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Use of software to design and develop engaging and interactive instructor-led and web-based courseware.

  • Manage and maintain effective relationships with customers, peers, and leaders while performing all tasks related to training design, development, deployment, and evaluation.

  • Participate in or lead project teams responsible for the creation, delivery, maintenance, or revision of training materials.

  • Facilitate engaging in-person or virtually delivered training.

  • Develop and maintain proficiency in required technical skills including torque, safety-wire, and solder.

  • Follow all internal processes and meet quality gates in all training projects.

  • Work collaboratively with a variety of people and departments, sometimes with conflicting priorities.

U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Education, Instructional Design or Technical Focus

Required Skills:

  • Two years' experience in instructional design and/or training delivery.

  • Ability to gain and retain certification in Solder Initial, Solder Rework, Solder Space, Crane and Hoist, and Fall Protection.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience using one or more instructional design models including ADDIE, SAM, and/or LLAMA.

  • Experience completing needs and gap analysis, creating instructor led and web-based courseware and working in an LMS, preferably Success Factors.

  • Knowledge of basic graphic design principles as they relate to the development of courseware.

  • Experience developing courseware in Articulate Storyline and Quizmaker.

  • Experience with Snagit, Camtasia, Captivate or other screen recording software.

Missiles and Defense is seeking a program management/planning professional to join the Program Planning Department within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). The Sr. Technical Planner II position will be a member of the Program Management Excellence organization, supporting classified programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex programs. Key Responsibilities: * Ability to understand the program technical and programmatic solution, and partnering with the program team, lead integration of that solution into the IMS baseline plan ensuring the cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan. * Lead creation and maintenance of compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) on requirements provided by the customer that achieve necessary cost and schedule integration. * Lead the team to ensure program plan and IMS is developed consistent with IPDS and program life cycle. Must be able to review the IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing work or work that is planned improperly. * Understands, can create, use and recommend appropriate alternative/supplemental program mgmt. plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow), to help the program team understand and manage to the plan. * Partnering with SMEs, explain Schedule Risk Analysis results to program teams, understands SRA concepts and theory, with ability to interpret results to the program team and integrate mitigation plans into the IMS and schedule risks into the Risk Management process * Provides weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis and network logic validation, employing appropriate Earned Value Management System processes * Must obtain a security clearance within 12 months of star * This position is located in Tucson, Az. Required skills: * 6+ years of applicable Planner or Program Management experience that included Program Planning and Scheduling * Experienced development and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules in a highly matrixed Organization * Experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules.
