Technical Training Instructor Senior

Position Overview

Navistar is looking for a Technical Training Instructor.

Instructors conduct technical training courses for customer technicians in the use of complex situations for multiple products. Their key responsibilities include assessing training needs, creating training materials, and teaching classes. Instructors need to have excellent presentation and communication skills, along with a calm and patient demeanor. This position will travel extensively to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts technical training courses for customer technicians in the use of complex situations for multiple products

• Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses

• Follows Course Leaders Guides and prepares classroom and lab areas for upcoming schedule

• Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions

• Follows up to determine applicability of course material

• Stays current with technical publications and training certification paths

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• At least 2 years of technical training experience

OR

• Master's degree

OR

• At least 4 years of technical training experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

• Diesel engine experience

• Diesel technology certificate or higher preferred

• ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics

• Analytical and critical thinking skills

• Time Management skills

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Experience assessing training needs and creating training materials
