We are seeking a talented Technical Training and Development Specialist to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate blended learning that is aligned with adult learning principles for new and existing clients (both internal and external). Participate in the implementation of new or changing products and services in the payment and training industry. Manage training relationships while demonstrating CO-OP's brand and values. Able to adapt independently to emotionally charged situations while maintaining positive relationships.

What You Can Look Forward to

  • Develop training ideas and concepts using adult learning theory and learning models, and translates into engaging content through user interfaces, graphics, illustrations, animations and/or simulates for e-learning and classroom presentations for all levels of staff.

  • Creatively deliver training using appropriate adult learning and delivery methods to internal & external audiences, according to project timelines, desired performance outcomes and learner needs.

  • Train all applications, technologies and competencies that require training specific to assigned technical department.

  • Design and deliver e-learning modules specific to technical training designated areas.

  • As appropriate based on technical training designation, conduct internal and external training.

  • Continually monitor instructional delivery best practices and learner assessments, and adjusts techniques and recommends changes when appropriate.

  • Develop training plans, agendas, and programs according to competency-based objectives determined by business needs identified in the analysis phase.

  • Conduct needs analysis.

  • Create and implement training plans.

  • Monitor and provide feedback on department's learning progresses.

  • Select and develop appropriate learner interactions and evaluations to measure progress and job competency for any given training session.

  • Conduct, analyze, and implement lessons learned, measure effectiveness of learning solutions, and ensure continuous improvement activities are meeting learner needs and desired performance outcomes.

  • Adhere to style guidelines and design standards that provide consistent framework for the development of training materials.

  • Participate on projects with cross-functional impacts to ensure training and business needs are met by the deadline.

  • Continuously partner with subject matter experts and content owners to ensure training programs meet the business needs as well as delivers training using adult learning theory and learning models.

  • Facilitate learning plans through the LMS.

  • Specific to technical training designation, create, evaluate and maintain necessary documentation to ensure procedures and processing deadlines are met.

  • Keep current by continuously researching industry trends and best practices and use that knowledge to enhance the learning experience for participants.

  • Advance the level of subject matter expertise needed to provide correct information and accurately answer questions from learners and business partners.

  • Communicate engagement and progress of participants during training to appropriate supervisors and managers.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced Learning Solutions team members in analysis, design, delivery, and documentation.

  • Additional training-related duties and projects as assigned by manager.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, adult learning, or related field; or equivalent related work experience.

  • 1-3 years adult learning experience.

  • Excellent, professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation/facilitation skills.

  • Deep knowledge of adult learning, and training program design and development.

  • Ability to accurately interpret information, as well as demonstrate satisfactory problem solving skills and application of good judgment and decision making.

  • Ability to learn and use new systems quickly (including, but not limited to: industry/company applications, InDesign, SnagIt, Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Ability to comprehend and apply program policies and procedures in an effective manner.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations to small and large groups of people.

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.

  • Ability to understand and explain CO-OP products.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and have effective interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve positive results through influence, leadership, and coaching.

  • Effective utilization of time management.

  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence to build interpersonal relationships.

  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, positive attitude and the ability to maintain confidential information and the trust of others are required.

  • Strong PC and software skills, especially Microsoft Office products.

  • Flexible work hours.

  • React to change proactively and the ability to make rapid changes to processes and position as needed.
