The Technical Trainer Sr. position will be responsible for executing the operational requirements of the Training Support Program under the Training Support Division (TSD), Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) within the WIN-T framework. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provide Functional and Technical Support to the diverse community of Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) and related communications systems/subsystems, Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs), IT Networking, basic IT, Master Reference Terminals (MRTs) and other equipment/systems that are considered part of the network. Assist in the instruction and daily maintenance of all WIN-T associated equipment with customers to assure accuracy.
*Provide Onsite Briefings for all unit personnel Provide Over-the-Shoulder Training support for all WIN-T users Perform Technical Troubleshooting Resolve Procedural Issues Maintain and update an electronic database of common procedural issues and solutions or quick fixes to known issues Capture and File Electronic Trouble Reports and Software Change Requests Assist in Implementing New WIN-T Subsystems Report Data Quality Issues to Unit Personnel Support Remote Deployments Short duration travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations Coordinate Hardware/Software Replacements and Repairs Assist in Fielding New Hardware Assist in Fielding New Software Versions Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge and skills required to execute all field service Technician tasks assigned Perform other duties as required- Up to 50% Travel
Typically requires BS and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.Typical minimums do not apply to this position. Candidates will be chosen based on experience as described in the basic qualifications section.This position requires the technical understanding and experience with a combination of any of the following required skills:Must have PoP, SNE, VWP, and User Support experience as well as experience instructing.
TCN or NOSC experience that's a huge plus. CCNA, SEC+ and Net+ preferred.Must have a detailed understanding of and experience with WIN-T Increment 2 systems
Candidate must have an active Secret clearance
