Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience, Master's degree with 0 years experience or 5 years experience in a training environment lieu of a degree

  • Proficiency with MS Office to include MS Excel, MS PowerPoint (experience with MS Visio and MS Project

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of Adult Learning Theory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microelectronics and Surface Mount Electronics Technologies highly desirable. Intermediate proficiency in CBT/WBT development, a background in technical writing, or other related fields

  • J-STD 001 Certified Instructor (CIT or MIT)

  • Blended Learning experience

  • Proficiency with eLearning software (experience with Articulate Storyline a plus).

  • Experience delivering adult training/education.

  • Experience in video audio recording/editing

The Technical Trainer reports to Americas Training Manager and plays a key role in the entire training delivery life-cycle from training consultancy, scoping of customer training requirements, building of tailored course and end customer delivery. A stong networking background is essentail as well as other demans including but not limited to SDN, NFV, Orchestration, Automation and DevOps. Candidates should be certified in the Juniper Networks Certification Program and have excellent communication and presentation skills. Minimum Qualifications: * 5+ years of technical pre-sales, technical training or network consulting experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN or Internet services environments * One or more of the following certifications JNCIP-SP, JNCIP-SEC, JNCIP-ENT, or JNCIP-DC is a minimum. One or more JNCIE or more is preferred * Effective communication skills as well as written and public speaking skills with internal and external customers * Knowledge and experience of IP Networking including but not limited to: * Junos * OSPF * BGP * IS-IS * MPLS * SD-WAN * Knowledge of SDN and associated technologies (NFC, SD-WAN, Orchestration, Automation) * Fluent in English Other Information: * Relocation is/is not available for this position Travel requirements for the position is 25 - 75% Juniper Networks Salt Lake City UT
