Job Duties and Responsibilities

Dish Technologies (DT) is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the DT Technical Training Team as a Technical Trainer I. Our team is responsible for creating and implementing technical training programs for the DT Technical Operations Center (TOC).

A Technical Trainer I develops, plans, coordinates, and delivers training and development programs to meet organizational needs of the TOC. The Trainer is accountable for the successful on-boarding of new-hire TOC employees, and the continuing education of existing TOC employees. The Trainer is responsible for scheduling TOC employee training sessions, generating classroom agendas, maintaining training records and the creation and distribution training certificates.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Partners with TOC management to identify specific work situations and skills requiring employee improvement, such as, better understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, technologies and human relations.

  • Executes testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of courses.

  • Conducts training sessions covering established TOC certification program.

  • Writes training materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance the learning experience.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content and written materials throughout a course life cycle.

  • Assists students with the completion of hands-on training activities and provides constructive feedback.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

The successful Technical Trainer will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to Travel.

The Technical Writer will work closely with the Proposal Manager, and other stakeholders in writing winning proposals. Duties & Responsibilities: * Review RFPs and works with Proposal Manager to develop proposal writing plan. * Gather information by interviewing Subject Matter Experts and write various proposal sections, including technical approach, executive summaries, past performance/qualification summaries and resumes. * Review/rewrite proposal inputs and coordinate with management personnel to ensure accuracy. * Create document flow diagrams and other graphics to illustrate technical concepts. * Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone. * Identify and communicate risks associated with proposals.
