Purpose of the position
Will perform assigned trainer associate professional duties as an S3 employee onsite under the NASA SACOM contract at Stennis Space Center and Michoud Assembly Facility. Conducts technical and non-technical skills training programs for the organization to train and provide continual learning for employees. This includes common Safety Training courses as well as a variety of operator courses to include but not limited to Overhead Cranes, Powered Industrial Truck, Mobile Aerial Platforms, Mobile Cranes, Special Purpose Mobile Equipment.

Principal Responsibilities of the Position
Conducts training courses at both MAF and SSC, using required tools for on-site and virtual sessions, to include lectures, web-based programs and hands-on sessions.
Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
Oversees the design and development of training curriculum for both on-site and virtual programs.
Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
Gathers and summarizes course evaluations to provide data for review to determine effectiveness of training sessions.
Assists in the review of external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase.
Consults with management to conduct overall needs assessments to ensure training needs are met.
Conducts course pilots and provides train-the-trainer services. Reviews course evaluation analysis and results to determine effectiveness of training sessions regarding course content and trainer. Resolves issues and/or implements revisions to courses.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources or related field preferred
Eight or more years of training experience
Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
Experience working with instructional design and adult learning and training methodologies.
3rd Party Certifications to train equipment classes such as Powered Industrial Truck, Mobile Aerial platforms, Overhead Crane, Mobile Crane operator classes preferred.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
Must have, and maintain, a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
Will ensure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner as well as insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for customers needs when complete.

Physical Requirements
Dexterity to operate office equipment as required by the position.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Walk periodically throughout the day

Walk up/down stairs frequently
Stand a few hours per day
Climb ladders and scaffolding
Wear PPE gear periodically (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves)
