Technical Test Lead(s)-U.S. (full-time; multiple positions available)

Technical Test Lead(s)-U.S. needed in Rockville, Maryland, and various and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to test assigned modules for software products for clients in the U.S. Public Services sector. Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for modules; create requirements traceability matrix; provide recommendations for the test strategy; develop and validate test design, types and rounds of testing; review complex test scenarios; coordinate setup of the testing environment and data, perform production verification, validate test results and ensure removal of defects.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Applications, Business (Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Management), Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience as a Technology Analyst, Senior Software Engineer, Module Lead, or a related role.

Must have two (2) years of experience in

  • Functional and Automation testing in any one of the following testing types: Web Services testing, Mobile testing, Performance testing, or Security testing.

  • Must have two (2) years of experience with test management tools (including HP ALM or IBM Rational Quality Manager);

  • defect management tools (including HP ALM, Bugzilla, or IBM Rational ClearQuest);

  • writing SQL Queries;

  • experience in developing test automation scripts with at least one automation framework;

  • coordinating work of onshore and remote teams; and

  • coordinating with client team for project activities.

Must have two (2) years of experience working within the U.S. public services domain (Federal, State, local departments/agencies or intergovernmental organizations)in any of the following areas:

  • Eligibility and administration system for social programs administered by government agencies or health benefit exchange, or

  • Child Welfare (SACWIS or CCWIS) or

  • Healthcare domain in any of the following areas: Medicare/ Medicaid, healthcare analytics, long term care, flexible spending account or health savings account.

Employer will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field and one (1) year of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Must be willing to work anywhere in the U.S. as the position may involve relocation to various and unanticipated client site locations; any relocation to be paid by employer pursuant to internal policy.

The Lead Developer in Test will be directing a team of other Developers in Test. Responsibilities also include developing and executing software testing components, developing automation solutions and performing manual tests throughout the SDLC. Essential Job Functions: * Develop complex automation code, scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators, API/Interface testing solutions and other programmatic test tools as required to execute tests. * Ownership of automation architecture (Both Functional and Performance). * Create complex test plans and test strategies. * Lead a team of Developers in Test. * Champion the collaborative resolution of defects and direct internal process improvement initiatives * Reviews of system architecture, code and design documents. * Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. * Responsible for identifying project risks and develop mitigation strategies. * Possess domain expertise in the project involved. Serve as technical subject matter expert. * Ensure adherence with technology policies and compliance with all security controls. * Continually look for ways to innovate and improve testing process to gain efficiencies. * Ensure all work products meets /exceeds FINRA standards. Education/Experience Requirements: * Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering and seven (7) years of cumulative experience in software development and/or test automation; or equivalent training and/or work experience. * Excellent understanding of testing process, test types and testing methodologies. * Demonstrated understanding and experience with object oriented design. * Experience with programming in Java (preferred), C++, C#, or Ruby. * Demonstrated understanding and application of algorithms to test solutions. * Extensive experience with SQL and relational database design. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Extensive experience with the Unix/Linux environment. * Demonstrable experience of common development technologies (AJAX, J2EE/.NET, Javascript, HTML, XML/XSL, JSON, Web Services [SOAP, REST], Maven/Ant …etc.). Preferred: * Experience using test tools such as WebDriver and JMeter. * Financial services industry experience preferred. Work Conditions: * Work is normally performed in an office environment.
