About this Position

Proscia's is powering the next generation of data-driven research, and accelerating the development of new therapeutics and diagnostics through transformative Real-World Pathology Data.

As a Technical Team Lead, Data Products, you will play an essential role in executing & refining Proscia's Real-World Data strategy, leading the full lifecycle of novel data products and making sense of messy healthcare data. You will design and develop innovative solutions to standardize and automate data integration, connecting systems, and data cataloging from unstructured and other diverse multi-modal healthcare datasets. Extracting optimal value from the data to uncover new insights, making more informed decisions that will transform oncology research and advance patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the team lead and individual contributor, overseeing the technical planning, design, implementation, troubleshooting, deployment, validation, and maintenance of complex data solutions.

  • Design, implement and manage ETL data pipelines that ingest vast amounts of Real-World Data (RWD) from internal and partner sources for consumption by analysis applications and AI products.

  • Innovate and advise on the latest technologies and standard methodologies in Data Engineering and Data Management, including recent advancements with GenAI, and be able to identify solutions that can address hurdles in data enablement such as AI-powered data harmonization.

  • Demonstrates adaptability by covering the full spectrum of data science responsibilities, from data extraction, curation, and management of the application development.

  • Serve in a customer-facing capacity, proactively communicating the value propositions of our data ecosystem and pipelines to partnering collaborators, with a focus on data strategy and management practices.

  • Implement advanced data management strategies to ensure data integrity, compliance, and security, adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

  • Work closely with Proscia's AI R&D team to enrich data products and fuel model training and validation.

What are we seeking?

  • High-agency, entrepreneurial leader

  • Scientist-technologist, that enjoys the data discovery process, digging deep and getting hands-on with data

  • Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, data engineering, or related discipline

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful data product throughout its lifecycle.

  • Deep understanding of use cases for RWD in drug discovery & development

  • 2+ years experience with creating high-value clinical datasets (e.g., Laboratory, Pathology, EHR Medical Records, Claims).

  • Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL pipeline, complex CI/CD process, automation using workflow management tools. (e.g. Snowflake, AWS) and containerization technologies (Snowpark, Kubernetes).

  • Solid experience in Python, SQL or NoSQL DB's.

  • Experience in applying AI/ML in the analysis of biomedical data, particularly digital pathology or genomics, is highly desirable.
