Job Description Summary

This position is the for the Technical Talent Strategic Workforce Planning Leader role in GE Aerospace's Manufacturing Enablement Team. This team sets the strategy for the development of manufacturing engineers throughout the supply chain, including the design and execution of manufacturing engineering focused talent management initiatives. This role is accountable for providing analysis, insights, and guidance to inform future focused organization optimization and career roadmap activities, delivering tools and solutions, and serving as an integration point across stakeholder groups to drive more collaborative workforce planning and evolve the supply chain division's manufacturing engineering capability.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Talent Strategic Workforce Planning Leader will ensure transparent communication as the interface across a broad landscape, align insights to division and business goals, and anticipate the needs and concerns of senior leaders. Key to this role is the ability to consider issues from multiple perspectives, have strong influencing capability and be proactive in driving results.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with Supply chain leaders, HR, and Talent Acquisition to serve as a trusted advisor on workforce planning and career navigation activities.

  • Analyze business strategies and supply chain capacity planning activities to identify talent implications and opportunities to improve consistency and standardization.

  • Lead the development of insightful, data-driven solutions and implement relevant tools/templates

  • Effectively gather and interpret internal/external data trends and insights to assess talent gaps, forecast needs and model future scenarios to inform leadership decision-making

  • Work across functions to evaluate proposed short-term and long-term projects

  • Define and monitor Strategic Workforce Planning metrics aligned with the strategy

  • Influence and gain senior leader buy-in to drive adoption and support of Strategic Workforce Planning and related career roadmap strategy, vision and initiatives

  • Develop a standard technical talent assessment format and role out bi-annual process

  • Integrate with Manufacturing Enablement team to provide input to Talent Pipeline, Technical Growth, and Learning initiatives.

  • Holds self and others accountable for delivering efficient, quality products and business results.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university + minimum of 5 years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Human Resources, HR Analytics, Talent management or Transactional Lean.
  • (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, Human Resources, HR Analytics, Talent management or Transactional Lean.
