    SAIC is looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our Civilian Markets Group in support of the Federal Aviation Administration Integrated Service Center (FAA ISC). SAIC leads the way to provide customer-centric IT Service Management (ITSM) focused on improving service, and leveraging processes and strategies with an emphasis on timely IT services and support.

You will be part of the Tech Dispatch team, responsible for onsite support of incidents and service requests that cannot be resolved remotely by Service Center Staff. In this role you resolve, track, and manage escalated technical problems within Remedy. Travel (up to 25%) may be required to support remote FAA sites that do not have local technicians assigned.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Installs software, modifies settings, and replaces hardware as required to resolve the incident.

  • Resolves desktop and network issues to restore service.

  • Understands premise wiring/cabling best practices.

  • Uses ITSM and Remedy ticket processes to document actions taken and executes hardware or software deployment.

  • Supports lifecycle asset management (LCAM) of IT equipment - deployment through exchange/disposal.

  • Ensures troubleshooting and resolutions are accomplished using industry best practices, resolves technical issues, ensures issues resolved per FAA direction, and documents installed configuration.

  • Makes updates to the knowledge base by creating documentation describing issues encountered, their resolutions, and works on the development of processes and documentation to improve the ability of the service desk to detect and resolve problems.

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Qualifications*

  • Required Education & Experience*

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and 2 years of related experience; Associate's degree in an IT related field and 9 years of related experience; or HS and 10 years of related experience

  • Desired Experience & Certifications*

  • Technical proficiency in supporting desktop, server, printer, and network equipment.

  • IT Certification(s)

  • HDI Certification(s)

  • Required Clearance*

  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance. Must obtain interim public trust to start work.

Our program participants are consistently working with their treatment teams and peer support is initiated when it is decided that they would benefit from additional support regarding their mental illness, traumatic situation, or addiction recovery. A high degree of collaboration is critical for the teams to successfully eliminate participants' concerns when it comes to the intended outcome of services. Scheduling will vary based on team needs and whether their Peer Support Specialist Position is full- or part- time. Primary Job Duties: Contributing to assessment & service planning, individual & group skill building, crisis management, rehab services, knowledge of resources and an ability to efficiently connect clients, as well as other support services. Knowledge of group dynamics and commitment to client centered work; experience with groups including planning and co-leadership responsibilities. Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, highly structured, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team. Team members share roles and responsibility for clients as needed to provide ongoing support. Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Personal life experience in recovery from mental illness, or substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders required. One to two years of volunteer experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse fields preferred. A willingness to become Peer Certified as part of your initial onboarding. Comfort in sharing your personal life experiences surrounding recovery in a way that offers support to those you will serve. Facilitate the development of recovery skills among assigned consumers as a member of the treatment team. Serve as a mentor/role model demonstrating recovery, effective coping skills, and self-help strategies. Salary/Benefits: Salary range is $16.56 to $21.44 an hour depending on experience. The full-time position is eligible for our benefits package that includes six weeks of paid time off after the first year, 10 paid holidays, health insurance, and 401(k) with up to a 5% employer match. The part-time positions are eligible for paid time off and two floating holidays per year. Both are eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
