The technical support engineer will be the first point of contact to our clients, to troubleshoot technical issues via the phone or remote assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional assistance to clients in answering inquiries, and interpreting resource catalogs via telephone.

  • Manage the software installation

  • Troubleshoot Topcon products remotely

  • Provide remote assistance via internet connection or phone

  • Provide technical support to customers, distributors and employees

  • Complete issues escalated by support team (Open/track RMA's for repair.)

  • Complete repair/site visit reports in CRM system

  • Basic knowledge of SQL, LAN Networking and Microsoft office

Qualifications

  • Good written & verbal communication skills.

  • Must have follow up skills

  • Good organization skills. Must be able to multitask: quickly analyze and resolve specific problems

  • Negotiation, people, and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to deal effectively with customers.

  • Work under minimal supervision.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL ,LAN Networking and Microsoft office

  • Knowledge of medical device troubleshooting

Education & Experience:

  • Requires BS degree or AS in Electronic Technology, Biomedical Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to troubleshoot technical issues with professionalism and tact

  • Strong IT background

  • Must be able to work flexible hours

We seek a highly motivated image processing and quantitative analysis research scientist to work creatively within a dedicated R&D team in providing cutting-edge technologies and contributing to interdisciplinary projects. This position involves both basic and applied research and supports development of advanced imaging technology and commercial ophthalmic devices. The successful Research Scientist is responsible for providing solutions based on image processing and quantitative analysis, validation of results using large number of medical datasets, and is expected to participate in software development projects. Responsibilities * Design and develop image processing algorithms for automatically detecting and evaluation disease to aid Doctor's diagnosis * Evaluate algorithm performance and perform improvement development based on large amount of clinical datasets * Prioritize multiple tasks and contribute to achievement of technical milestones Qualifications Education & Experience: * The ideal candidate will have theoretical knowledge and expertise in image processing, algorithm validation, as well as the ability to generate C++ code. * PhD or MS in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. * 1 to 5 years industry experience or equivalent laboratory experience preferred * Hands-on experience with image processing required, especially in image segmentation, registration, feature detection, image enhancement or analysis. * Expertise in C/C++, Matlab and OpenCV preferred. * Experience with ITK and VTK preferred. Experience with IPP and/or MKL preferred. * Experience in C/C++ GUI framework, such as MFC and WinAPI preferred. * Excellent communications and documentation skills.
