Ericsson seeks a Technical Support Engineer (Support Engineer) in Plano, Texas, & various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. who will serve to serve as an Core Network Support Engineer to analyze and resolve engineering issues to stabilize and optimize customer telecommunications networks utilizing engineering experience in telecommunications solutions which include Packet Core, Radio, Cloud, IMS, and VoLTE.

What you will do:

Interact and coordinate with customer technical staff, operation managers, service engineers and other groups within the Service Delivery organization to design and deliver solutions for electronic and communications components embedded within a network. Provide Telecom domain/E2E network level troubleshooting to ensure that components of the network operate successfully.

Coordinate Emergency Handling Services and ensure the restoration of the customer's network system to pre-outage performance level by utilizing engineering skills for electronic and communications solutions within telecom and datacom industry, covering both hardware, software and network engineering. Initiate and lead Crisis Management processes during network or country wide outages for the network. Participate and coordinate with different levels of Regional, Global Support management in post event analysis to develop and implement solutions that resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

You will bring:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience as an Engineer or related. 2 years of experience to include: validating and documenting network architecture designs with general performance management of EPC KPIs; and, Supporting and troubleshooting the following Mobile Packet Core networks: SGW/PGW/GGSN (SAEGW), MME/SGSN, DNS, signaling, Virtualization, and PCRF. 1 year of experience to include: working with Mobile Packet Core Network technology and solutions including VoLTE networks. 6 months of experience to include: supporting and troubleshooting E2E VoLTE/VoWiFi (IMS network) calls and SMS over IMS; and, supporting IMS platforms including I-CSCF, P-CSCF, S-CSCF, and application servers, providing improvement to IMS KPIs.
