About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a full time Technical Support Engineer

Are product support, issue triage & resolution, and responsive stakeholder communications among your specialties? Are you a dogged troubleshooter who doesn't give up until the problem is identified? Is 'accountability' your middle name?

What You Can Expect

Required Skills:

  • Member of an Agile team responsible for the triage, analysis, and successful resolution of data inconsistencies, ad-hoc reporting requests, and software functionality concerns in a large enterprise software system.

  • Possesses solid Oracle SQL and ad-hoc reporting skills and experience.

  • Responsible for ticket tracking and progress reporting within team.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or other modern ticketing systems.

  • Participates in the proper escalation, planning, and stakeholder communications around confirmed software defects requiring development resolution.

  • Contributes to client & end customer satisfaction with prompt action and clear communications.

  • Basic understanding of computer networking and internet services (HTTP(S), FTP, SSH, SFTP, DNS, etc.)

  • Experience with diagnosing and debugging software issues and working with developers to perform root cause analysis

  • Takes proactive ownership of issues & concerns and sees them through to resolution.

  • Recognizes & escalates support process inefficiencies and contributes to optimizations.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders on process of writing clear and complete tickets.

  • Excellent time-management and communication skills.

  • 2 5 years successful IT services experience in product support of one of the following roles: business/systems analysis, technology/development, data/reporting, project management.

Desired, Not Required:

  • Consulting experience

  • Agile experience

  • Java EE development knowledge/experience

The TSE-2 assists and provides guidance to the Service Desk Technicians responsible for accurate triage of all incoming service requests. Typical TSE-2 activities include troubleshooting and resolving complex customer hardware, software, network infrastructure, and telephony issues</p><p><br></p><ul> <li>Assist customers with incident and change management activities</li> <li>Assist with all Service Desk Technician duties as required.</li> <li>Proactively monitor WAN/MAN/LAN networks using network management systems.</li> <li>Analyze and trouble-shoot network communication failures/bottlenecks and escalate issues according to established guidelines.</li> <li>Open trouble tickets and test with vendors and ISPs. </li> <li>Resolve technical issues within TSE-2 scope guidelines and quickly escalate issues according to procedural documentation and training.</li> <li>Respond to network events, diagnose, and provide analysis for resolution with in SLA’s.</li> <li>Create and update trouble tickets using corporate ticketing system.</li> <li>Quickly and accurately report major outages to management with frequent communications on incidents affecting multiple users, reoccurring incidents, procedural gaps, training requirements, etc.</li> <li>Interface directly with customer(s) to resolve network events and service requests.</li> <li>Ensure that customer SLA commitments are consistently met while providing a high level of customer satisfaction. </li> <li>Use knowledgebase and case history for service request resolutions, accurate ticket classifications, and escalations.</li> <li>Obtain and provide timely service updates to/from relevant parties.</li> <li>Create and maintain procedure and informational documents as needed to ensure consistent customer support.</li> <li>Provide training and mentoring to other team members as they progress in mastering their professional skills and as they learn company and industry best practices. </li> <li>Provide information, analysis and reports requested by management.</li> <li>Maintain accurate case documentation for all service requests.
