Our client is seeking a Technical Support Specialist who is eager to join a dynamic support team. The Technical Support Specialist will manage desktop and application solutions in order to a meet the business needs of the organization.
The ideal candidate will be capable of solving user support issues while collaborating with other support engineers. The Technical Support Specialist must manage projects from the planning phase through the implementation phase. In this role, the selected candidate must be focused, reliable, responsive and possess excellent communication skills.
The primary services handled by the Technical Support Team include:
Hardware (desktop and printer) support and troubleshooting
Software configuration and troubleshooting
Windows and Microsoft Office support
Microsoft Exchange Administration
Remote software installations and upgrades
Asset management and inventory oversight
Other duties as assigned
Candidates must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, management, and endusers on a regular basis. Afterhours availability is required in order to respond to emergencies, and to complete system maintenance that cannot be performed during normal business hours.
Minimum of two years' experience in the following areas is preferred:
Supporting Windows 7 or higher
Supporting Microsoft Office 2010 or higher
Supporting Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 or higher
Supporting printing environment
Configuring and troubleshooting desktop hardware (Dell and HP preferred)
BA/BS in CS or equivalent experience preferred
A+ Hardware certification preferred
Networking+ certification preferred
Highly selfmotivated individual who has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Possess strong documentation skills
Ability to occasionally travel for site visits
