The Center of Excellence at Hitachi Vantara is a worldwide entity that serves as a platform for presenting our products and solutions to customers and partners. These engagements involve demonstrations, proof of concepts, lab facilities, and video content. Our team collaborates closely with sales, technical sales, and product management, facilitating the exchange of insights into customer trends, experiences, and requirements to enhance the alignment of our products and solutions. The CoE is broadening our service catalog to encompass technical support for Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, catering to both internal and partner-managed RFPs.
The role
The key objective of this role is a role of a technical Solution Consultant supporting customers and partner with the technical aspects of RFPs.
Key Responsibilities
Engage directly with sales, technical sales and partners to clarify technical requirements and address any inquiries related to the proposed solutions.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the organization's products, services, and solutions.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of relevant technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Contribute to the development of technical content for RFP responses, ensuring alignment with customer and partner needs and requirements.
Tailor responses to showcase how the organization's offerings address the specific technical needs outlined in the RFP.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical content in RFP responses.
Manage time effectively to meet RFP submission deadlines, ensuring all technical aspects are thoroughly addressed.
Incorporate feedback from previous RFP responses to continuously improve and refine future submissions.
Provide internal training and knowledge transfer sessions to keep sales teams informed about technical aspects of products and solutions.
What you'll bring
3+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry
3+ years of experience in a Consulting Presales role in the Storage Industry or in a High-Value Solutions Infrastructure company desired
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies such as; Storage, Server technologies, Virtualization/VMware, Containers, Business Continuity, Data Protection, SAN, LAN/WAN Concepts and Architectures desired
Track record of success in Business Technology related sales environment with excellent customer skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education needed or equivalent years of applicable experience
Personable, Persuasive and Articulate - Able to represent Hitachi Vantara positively to customers and partners, build positive relationships of influence, and ability to communicate well (written and verbally)
Able to work independently and proactively, self-starter able to manage time/tasks effectively.
