General purpose of the job
Responsible for overseeing the QA process to ensure the highest quality of concrete is produced at each facility in the area by administering the Quality Assurance Program according to the specified guidelines. Communicates with Division QA Managers in implementing quality assurance objectives to assure Total Quality Management of concrete materials, processes, mix development, and submittal process in achieving Argos USA's quality objectives to meet customer requirements. Inspects concrete delivered, checks for quality and is the lead trouble shooter for customer concerns relating to the quality of concrete. Trains employees to properly mix concrete to ensure the highest of quality. Directs and is responsible for mix optimization, continuous improvement of the quality level and cost efficiency of concrete mixes that will result in an optimum contribution to Argos USA's business objectives.
Individual accountabilities
Manages the Quality Assurance staff, including field technicians/representatives and lab testing personnel and develops internal processes and procedures to measure staff performance and to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in quality and results.
Responsible for the quality of concrete produced for all Divisions in the Area.
Oversees mix design submittals for projects to assure they meet project specifications, technical correctness and customer's requirements.
Report monthly, mix optimization, deficiency in mix performance, and number of bids and submittals produced for each division.
Assist in the formulation of quality system procedures and work instruction for the continuous improvement of Argos USA's quality system.
Assist with the reporting of raw materials and product performances to help in the prevention of product failure.
Performs all needed quality control functions required to maintain a superior quality of concrete pursuant to the QA Program.
Ensures batching and raw material control procedures are followed as specified in the QA Program.
Verifies that the procedures and testing performed in an area are technically correct.
Perform functions assigned in QA Program and prepare documentation for control of materials and processes as described in the QA Program.
Communicate and coordinate material test results to QA Managers, Area Managers and suppliers.
Randomly perform project inspections of delivered concrete to ensure product quality. Troubleshoot customer concerns on quality issues.
Manage Regional Lab in accordance with OSHA's and the company's safety guidelines.
Supervises the functions of the Regional Laboratory and any laboratory technicians.
Submits established QA KPI's monthly to the Director, QA - Argos USA RMX.
Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

NRMCA Certified Concrete Technology Level IV Diploma.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I.
ACI Strength Testing Technician.
Local DOT Certifications.
LEED AP BD+C (Green Building Concepts) Accreditation.

Annual Salary Range From 96,800.00 to 145,200.00
