We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Service Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the facilities maintenance and engineering team bringing expertise in the fields of mechanical/HVAC, electrical/emergency power, fire life safety, and or controls systems. Their primary objective is to ensure the uninterrupted and efficient operations and optimization of building engineering systems, while ensuring compliance with safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability standards. The Technical Service Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing the overall performance and efficiency of our clients' buildings.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical resource to the facilities and engineering team, partner with key stakeholder for problem resolution
Proactively investigate opportunities for system efficiencies
Partner with team members, 3rd party vendors, and key stakeholders for timely resolution for engineering issues that may impact business continuity
Assisting with the preparations of SOP, MOP, EOP, PTP's, and critical documentation as it relates to operations and project initiatives
In partnership with the facilities and engineering teams, work within the CMMS platform ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is executed and documented appropriately
Adhere to the operational standards & technical requirements of the site/region ensuring effective planning and execution of maintenance and project activities
Participate and assist with the management of the change control process(s)
Oversite and support the facilities critical infrastructure including, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, & FLS systems
Assist with maintaining accurate documentation for building drawings, required permits & licensing for operations, client initiatives, and programs supporting code or contract requirements
Assist with the management of required maintenance, testing, and associated protocols
Support critical infrastructure emergencies as required

Participate in quality assurance programming ensuring compliance per agreed scope, policies and procedures, and programs
Ensure the implementation and management of safe work practices to mitigate the risk of services interruption
Contribute to the accounts reporting requirements including client, JLL, & governing bodies
Assist with coaching & mentoring team members in the best practices of the sites operations
Contribute to Business Continuity & Emergency Procedures ensuring programs are up to date and adhered to
Share best practices and new ideas to further support the operation
Assisting with the preparations of operational plans, budgets, client and corporate reporting, and maintenance planning
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience in overseeing building operations and maintenance
Broad technical understanding of building engineering systems such as HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment
Strong knowledge of various building automation systems, such as JCI-Metasys, BACnet, Watchdog/Vertiv, Site Scan, & Web-control/Automated Logic
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Ability to analyze complex system data, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices in building automation.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a team environment ensuring all follow required safe work practices
The ability to author, review, and work under the conditions of a various procedures such as SOPs, MOP etc.
Preferred:
Certification, license, or degree in HVAC, electrical technology, or a related field experience
Additional certifications in building automation systems, such as Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
Experience with building management systems (BMS), energy management systems (EMS), and other related software applications
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and protocols in building automation.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and IoT integration in building automation controls
Experience in commissioning and integrating third-party systems with building automation controls
