Summary of key duties and responsibilities:

The Technical Sales & Service Representative is responsible for the effective and efficient performance of PPG products for the customer. The incumbent will monitor systems and processes, check/control inventories, initiate problem solving resolutions, and effectively communicate with all levels in both the PPG and customer organizations. Ability to work any shift is required, but the plant currently operates 1st shift with a partial 2nd shift .

Work Environment:

The incumbent will provide technical sales and service support to the customer in an automotive assembly plant environment at the Daimler Trucks North American plant in Portland, OR.

Functional / Technical Skills:

3-5 years in a technical setting or automotive assembly plant environment. Good written and oral communication skills. Solventborne basecoat, Solventborne clearcoat, Pretreatment and Electrocoat technology experience preferred. Strong computer skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required.

Educational or Required Work Experience:

Required: High school degree and related work experience.

Desired: College degree in chemistry, general science, or a related discipline. Ability to work weekend overtime as needed

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. * Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities related to ServiceNow in an enterprise environment. * 3 years+ of detailed technical experience w/ enterprise level software development & integration in a production environment, exp. with ServiceNow platforms. Experience with JavaScript and API consumption required; experience creating API endpoints with Microsoft .NET preferred. * Knowledge of software design, structure, and performance measurement. * Ability to meet deadlines and effectively handle pressures related to time management. * Excellent prioritization, attention to detail, organizational, project management & problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality and solution oriented service are required. * Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as a team, and communicate with all levels of the organization professionally and tactfully.
