Job Description:
ARDEX Americas, (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.
As TECHNICAL SERVICE CONSULTANT, TILE AND STONE INSTALLATION SYSTEMS, you will utilize your experience of flooring installation systems (such as concrete repair and resurfacing / substrate preparation / patching and repair, tile and stone installation systems, finished surfaces), to provide consultative and expert product advice, through hands-on product training and demonstrations, classroom training, field support, and customer support via phone and digital communications.
This position is full-time based out of our Corporate Campus located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International Airport, with some field travel including occasional overnights.
Key responsibilities
Conduct professional and confident presentations and seminar trainings of all ARDEX product lines (classroom and hands-on)
Oversee customer job starts of all ARDEX products
Provide field site support of ARDEX projects
Work with Technical Communications team to facilitate necessary information from field Sales Professionals
Evaluate Job Site Reports to provide knowledge and insight of project claims and recommendations.
Prepare for seminar training (classroom and demo area), and host customer dinners
Train newly hired Sales Professionals on ARDEX products
Test new products and competitive materials
Proofread brochures, specifications, labels, etc. as needed. Assist with Marketing promotional efforts
Assist in the development of technical field study materials
Answer customer calls during scheduled phone times
Experience and Skills:
Minimum five (5) years of flooring installation experience (substrate preparation / patching and repair, tile and stone installation systems, finished surfaces)
Confident and effective presenter - able to conduct engaging presentations in front of large groups (hands on product demonstrations and classroom)
Mechanical and hands-on skills. Must be able to operate power and non-power tools.
Self-starter and ability to work and adapt within a fast-paced environment
Highly customer focused. Professional demeaner with good diplomacy and conflict management skills
Excellent telephone, listening and problem-solving skills
Confident, clear, and professional communicator both verbally and in writing. Excellent follow up skills
Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Internet. PowerPoint, social media, and MS Teams experience a plus
Valid and current driver's license
Must be able to travel approximately up to 35% including some overnight. Very occasional international travel may be required from time to time (ARDEX Canada)
Forklift certification preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs occasionally
