Technical, Sales & Training Support
Support the daily operations of SP Scientific/SP Industries through service, technical support, training & parts sales to our customers and service personnel for equipment manufactured by SP Scientific.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promote customer satisfaction.Provide remote customer support via phone and e-mail.Train customer personnel in lyophilizer equipment operation and maintenance.Parts sales identify, quote and process parts orders.Troubleshoot, repair and service lyophilizers.Remain current on technical and process knowledge to properly support SP Scientific products.Maintain and complete all related documentation & reports associated with service duties.Provide input to improve system design, performance, and technical documentation.Inform customers of and promote SP Scientific products and services.Work independently with moderate supervision.Travel to customer sites as needed.Other assigned activities as needed.

Technical Skills including, but not inclusive of:
Refrigeration (EPA Universal Card).
Knowledge and experience with cascade refrigeration systems a plus.
Basic understanding of PLC Controls including ladder logic.
Familiarity and use of test equipment.
Familiarity and use of hand tools.
Plumbing, including piping and brazing.
Understanding of technical instructions, schematics, blueprints and specifications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree or Certificate from approved two year college or technical school in related field, five years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals. Effective writing skills to produce reports, correspondence, etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. .
Physical demands such as operating hand tools, power tools, and moderate lifting may occasionally be required. Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Use of hands to handle, finger and feel objects. Use of hands to handle tools and controls. Use of arms and hands to climb and balance. Use of the following senses: sight (close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception), hearing, talking, taste and smell. Lifting and moving objects up to 70 pounds. Occasionally moving larger objects with assistance.
