DSM /DSM Food Specialities: Technical Sales Support: Beverage and More Division-Fruit, Bio Protection, Protein, Brewing Categories
Location: Prefer Mid-West Based / Possible Home Office with Lab Duties in South Bend Indiana.
Investigate and determine the technical needs of customers and draw up a technical service plan, in cooperation with Sales and Account Management, and according to the Customer Service Level Agreements.
Provide service to customers in such a way that they are able to apply the Business Unit's products safely.
Organize and support trials for validation of new products or formula changes in customers' production facilities.
Investigate (or support the investigation), resolve and document customer technical complaints.
Interpret data and trends related to technical service issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Monitor competitive and customer technical developments, new applications and new products and share this knowledge with the appropriate functions in the BU.
Supervise the laboratory activities for technical service.
Establish a relationship with appropriate equipment vendors in order to have advance knowledge of process improvements, have the BU products approved for use and have the products recommended for commissioning of the equipment.
Document actions by compiling technical journals and preparing reports based on these findings.
Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States and Canada with andwithout assigned Account Manager for Client Support.
Strategy: Contribute to develop and implement the technical service strategy, in co-operation with the Sales/ Sales Management and Marketing Management team members.
Organizational Structure and Development: Develop, implement and manage a cost effective and efficient organization, standard working processes and systems, in order to enable optimal business performance.
Fact Based Solutions Finder: Applies fact-based insights to build a solution / solve a problem. Analyses and integrates data and makes rational judgments based on facts. Understands and advocates the use of automated systems and tools to collect and analyze data. Effectively applies data-driven insights when taking decisions.
Realize Customer Improvement: Looks for ways to improve the customer experience/loyalty and acts upon them. Provides input to determine the positioning of new products and to develop value proposition. Manages changes in portfolio and product specifications towards customers
Undergraduate or master's degree in Bio Chemistry, Biology or Food Science.
5+ Years of Experience preferred with proven track record.
Prefer Mid-West Based / Possible Home Office with Lab Duties in South Bend Indiana.
Technical Knowledge of BU Products, Knowledge of and experience in other relevant disciplines.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Fluent knowledge of Excel Power Point, Windows 10 and worked with a CRM system is a must.
