Act as primary sales support for technology solutions in order to facilitate positive influence on sales cycle. Serve as primary technical contact throughout the pre-sale and sales cycles. Enhance the company's position and reputation by effectively presenting and demonstrating publisher services technology solutions. Properly set customer expectations throughout sales cycle. Participate in strategic sales planning sessions with sales and sales management, providing information regarding customer issues, needs and opportunities. Deliver clear and dynamic technical sales and product presentations to secure new business and/or up-sell existing accounts.

  • Responsible for collaborating with the sales team during prospecting phases and prior to completing the sale, to provide technical assistance to the Sales representatives to enhance deal closing process.

  • Develop and deliver clear, effective, dynamic product presentations and demonstrations to instill confidence in products by prospective business and technical clients

  • Collaborate with sales team on customer status, progress of sales cycle, potential issues, needed enhancements and modifications as required.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, up-to-date prospect and customer pipeline status and reports.

  • Assist in the implementation and execution of sales strategy. Consult with prospects and customers to understand business issues and goals, and work with customer to develop improved solutions to business needs.

  • Prepare summary reports for Sales Representative and Sales Management identifying customer needs and opportunity to secure new business.

  • Maintain expert level knowledge of products, along with knowledge of industry trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and communicate new information to sales team providing training and coaching where appropriate.

  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work, with up to 3 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.

  • Able to translate previous work experience into very good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutions. Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance. Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.

  • Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments. May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position.

  • Requires excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Community Relations Specialist (CRS) leads recruitment efforts of prospective students for the Goodwill Career and Technical Academy (GCTA). The CRS communicates the Academy's extensive program and certification offerings with the goal of educating and attracting prospective students and identifying community partners who may benefit from GCTA programs and services. The CRS develops effective recruitment strategies, engages in corporate and community outreach and supports the intake process for qualified students. This position works closely with GCTA leadership to establish recruitment program standards, goals and strategies to meet GCTA's objectives for student recruitment. This includes, but is not limited to, job fairs, community events and participation in community efforts that focus on workforce development. Community Relations Specialist GCTA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Community Relations and Business Development to identify community partnership opportunities that fulfill the strategic priorities of the GCTA. * Develops relationships with community organizations and key business leaders to produce referrals and develop the student pipeline. * Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, prioritizes time, utilizes a consultative approach, and possesses a sense of urgency to meet business metrics and objectives. * Represents GCTA training tracks: Health Care, Skilled Trades, Technology and Professional as the subject matter expert matching training track benefits to customer need. * Enrolls highly qualified candidates and moves them through Goodwill's intake process. * Develops and manages potential candidate pipeline using cost-effective techniques to attract students and partners; understands how to effectively set benchmarks and targets, analyzes data, and understands how to prioritize efforts to meet strategic objectives * Establishes and maintains an active pipeline of at least 50 potential organizations as partners at all times. * Attends and participates in a minimum of (4) events per month including nonprofit networking groups, job fairs and community task forces. * Secures a minimum of (12) formal partnerships resulting in continuous referrals, cohort creations and other meaningful collaborations that contribute to enrollment numbers. * Develops presentations and collateral support recruiting and community engagement/awareness efforts * Efficiently and accurately tracks and complies with Goodwill accounting practices and Goodwill intake/case management practices. * Demonstrates expertise in the effective use of grass roots tools, such as: job boards, social media, job fairs, and networking meetings. * Schedules tours and intake meetings. * Delivers superior customer service to all internal and external customers. * Collaborates with other GCTA team members to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished. * Regularly communicates recruiting and partnership development successes and challenges to internal stakeholders * Demonstrates ethics and complies with Corporate Compliance Program. * Completes required trainings. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Business, Marketing or related field. * Two years of recruitment or community relations/business development experience. * Superior written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Proficient in using Microsoft Office, with particular proficiency using PowerPoint. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Texas Driver's License; current liability insurance, personal transportation approved driving record.
