The statistics are horrific - 58% of housekeepers experience sexual harassment. They tend to be women of color and immigrants. English is their second language. They're groped by guests, solicited for sex acts, and worse. Every day they go to work, they put themselves at risk. Thankfully, legislation started to pass requiring hotels to protect them, part of which is providing them with a panic button.

When we started in 2014, we built the premier safety wearable on the market (aka panic button). We've leveraged our personal safety experience and BLE expertise to build AlwaysOn, a staff safety platform that protects staff no matter where they are, providing peace of mind to employers and staff alike.

We have our initial happy customers and are preparing to scale the company to meet the needs of many more in our pipeline. We're looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join us in taking ROAR to the next level. You'll join a passionate team to raise awareness of the AlwaysOn platform to hotel executives and lead the managing of installations while ensuring client satisfaction.

We are looking for a smart, empathetic, tenacious, and self-motivated Technical Sales Representative with a passion for networking, selling and project management. You will be responsible for funneling leads to our sales executives, performing on-site demonstrations at hotel properties, and managing installations once a lead is closed. Measures of success include new customer leads, flawless demonstrations, and customer satisfaction.

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Listen, understand, and convey customer needs and requirements
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Perform effective on-site demos to prospects
  • Manage all RFP / RFI responses
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • Project manage installations from beginning to end while ensuring client satisfaction


  • Inside sales experience with a track record of over-achieving your quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Willingness to travel onsite for sales prospects and installations
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Overview: The key objective of the Scientific Liaison is to contribute expertise and knowledge to field sales operations for the Oncology Franchise at Abbott Molecular. The Scientific Liaison will focus on the key gaps that exist in the commercial organization by playing a supportive role in customer relationships owned by the sales team. This role is an individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the field of cancer diagnostics, namely cytogenetic testing, marketplace trends, and alternative technologies becoming available in the field. This individual will be expected to think critically to execute on solutions for both the sales team and the customer base. Position Location: * This is a remote-based position. Qualified candidates should currently reside in a city with a major airport (e.g., Chicago, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Charlotte, or Orlando). * Relocation assistance is not authorized for this position. Position Responsibilities: * Support sales cycles with SME (subject matter expertise) where there is a needed focus on Oncology sales cycles. The Scientific Liaison will support the direct sales team; such as the Ambassador or Enterprise Manager where a higher level scientific resource is needed and added Scientific credibility is required for a large sophisticated customer. * Improve reference ability and satisfaction of Abbott's oncology customers. Associated activities will include driving of local user groups, assisting in problem solving and ensuring positive peer-to-peer best practices are shared, including not only operational best practices, but also those related to clinical practice. * Create and execute Scientific Sales focused field sales training programs. Examples of topics to be covered in training modules are: certifications on product categories, foundational knowledge of the industry, and information on specific differentiating technologies. The Scientific Liaison will work closely with the training department to avoid duplication of effort; but the training department does not have a dedicated Scientific trainer nor expertise in this area. * Enhance Abbott's Scientific image in the market by obtaining a leadership position on at least one industry professional organization's committee or board of directors (e.g., local or regional AACC chapters). * Develop Key Opinion Leaders who can drive success and leverage these relationships for road shows, peer-to-peer in-lab demonstrations, etc. * Prepares and conducts technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives. * Develops potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements. * Conducts regular analyses of the Oncology franchise business performance for the East Region and presents to Commercial Director and District Managers. This includes observing downward and upward trends for specific product lines and encouraging the most effective allocation of resources. * Engages regularly with both the Local and Global Marketing team to assess marketplace trends and uncover ways to satisfy customer needs. Minimum Position Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. * Minimum of 3+ years' experience working in technical lab. * Must have a solid understanding of oncology, cytogenetics, FISH, amino assays, micro-coagulants, or microbiology. * 2+ years' experience in a technical sales role. * Must have the ability to travel up to 70% in the USA to support business needs.
