Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking a Technical Sales Manager to work in the Raleigh/Charlotte/Greenville North Carolina areas.

This position would be responsible for managing a defined geographic area. This would include management of Technical Sales Representative(s). This position is also responsible for maintaining current accounts and growing the area by selling new accounts. This position would be selling Veolia's proprietary line of chemicals that optimise the operation of water treatment and wastewater treatment plant and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage total account responsibility within the assigned area, this includes accounts that the position owns and accounts of the direct reports to the position.

  • Responsible for growth of new accounts.

  • Ensure profitability of accounts within assigned area through proper pricing, contract management, and service time.

  • Coach assigned Technical Sales Representative(s) within the area to develop both service and sales skills and prepare them for career advancement within the organization.

  • Increase sales through targeted, profession sales campaigns to meet annual territory sales and profitability targets.

  • Maintain customer base through application of Veolia service standards to ensure controllable account attrition is minimized by building upon internal relationships and developing strong relationships with customers.

  • Develop, implement, and provide oversight of Veolia account service standards within the assigned Area account base.

  • Establish personal contact/relationship with all current customers in the assigned Area in order to provide account stability in the event of representative turnover or other issues that may jeopardize continuing business.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related field.

  • 8 - 10 years of field service and sales experience.

  • 3 5 years of field service and sales management.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

VIEW JOBS 12/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-10T00:00 Position Summary: The Technical Sales Manager reports to the Regional Sales Leader (RSL). The Technical Sales Manager will work as part of a broader team that will help enable customer retention through effective account management. This role's account management focus is in targeting the influential install companies in their respective region. In partnership with Territory Sales Managers, this role's main goal is to drive value in providing guidance in installation practices to current sales account base. This role also closely partners with the Business Development Manager and Leaders in ensuring installation bottlenecks do not become a barrier to sales conversions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintain key influential identified install companies in targeted geographies and defend our business with them. * Target install companies within region to identify growth opportunities and partner appropriately with internal stakeholders to gain their business. * Support customers as they move to James Hardie by eliminating barriers to conversion & creating a positive customer experience through the transition. * Utilize CRM tools to drive informed decision that enable additional volume growth year over year. * Assist Territory Sales Reps and Business Development Manager and team in gaining additional volume growth year over year. * Executes segmentation to evaluate and assess the market & lead all aspects of the customer sales process, while leveraging other resources to assist in solution development or implementation as necessary. * Willingness and ability to cultivate relationships, grow networks, nurture leads, and passion to identify targets. * Be the subject matter expert in all technical install practices of our product offerings. * Manages and holds themselves accountable to a priority based schedule with prospective customers. * Flexibility to identify and attend key activities within assigned territory. * High level of networking and engagement across account base. * Ability to influence key stakeholders to be advocates for JH. * Develop a solid understanding of company products and installation practices of each, as well as, customer programs and benefits. * Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making in their market. * Able to host, lead and present in front of large audiences. * Passion for their company and personal success to meet or exceed goals. Skills & Qualifications: * 3+ years of sales experience in a high touch sales environment * High level of organization, discipline, and self-structure. * Able to convey construction expertise and knowledge at job sites. * Strong sales mentality and understanding of sales process. * Ability to effectively build relationships at all levels of an organization. * Ability to influence key stakeholders to become advocates for James Hardie. * Travel 10-15% * Valid driver's license & Bachelors' Degree Required.
