POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Lexington, KY. The Technical Sales Engineer will assist with the selling of complex technological IP Solutions and services to financial institutions and targeted retailers across the Americas Safe Lock client base. The Sales Engineer is responsible for maintaining knowledge of the products, parts, functions, and processes and assisting the sales team with closing deals where technical expertise is required. The Technical Engineer will provide the knowledge of technical solutions and services that dormakaba offers to its end-users.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Discussing equipment needs, data security, and system requirements with client's security and IT group as well as engineers.
Working with Product Management and Engineering to research, develop, and propose modifications, if necessary, to dormakaba solutions to meet clients' technical requirements and needs.
Collaborating with sales teams to understand client requirements and provide sales support to close deals effectively and timely
Collaborates with sales team to create drafts with customer specifications and provide support to close deals effectively and timely.
Helping clients with installed solutions, making recommendations for improvements, upgrades, and logging client feedback to communicate possible solutions to upper management.
Work in conjunction with Product Management in training members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's solutions and services to be able to properly articulate our solutions to our prospect and client base.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
5+ years' experience in sales and the IP technology field; preferably in the Financial Institution sector
Strong working knowledge of VoIP
Advanced understanding of network architecture
Proficient in using SQL database & cloud platform
Advanced knowledge of API integration or integration of 3rd party systems
A basic understanding of network architecture
Travel up to 25-50% of time
