Technical Sales & Application Engineer 222600 gea They need a dynamic, down to earth person with a solid work history, good CAD skills. They are a smaller company so they must be to do multiple things within the organization.

Very strong preference for someone related to the roll and engraving industry or very familiar with it and a strong desire to work in the industry. Rate: DOE (Pay will be a reflection of their skills and experience) Direct Hire Travel: Travel is on the lower end.

Some of the travel is local and not more than every 5-6 weeks by airlines as needed. All depends on projects and customer’s needs. We are looking for a tech salesperson for our Pulaski operation.

Ideally has an engineering degree and is flexible with bridging the gap between sales and engineering (maybe OK with doing some engineering). Qualifications or key attributes: Interpersonal skills. Technical skills – knowledge of web handling, rolls, production methods.

Technical degree. Work ethic and organization.

  • Pay will be a reflection of their skills and experience. Duties: Client is seeking a Technical Sales & Application Engineer with experienced in design, sales, job shop, machining and/or web handling industries.

    THE POSITION A Technical Sales & Applications Engineer sells and promotes products and/or services requiring technical knowledge of engineering and cost effectiveness. Calls on company management representatives to introduce products/services and convince them of the desirability, potential value and practicality of such offerings. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATONS Engineering:

    Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications. Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability. Review and approve documentation for quality and safety.

    Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.

    This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

    This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Required to possess some level of account management skills.

    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Successful track record in high performing companies where stretch goals are the norm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES · Use technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales · Confer with customers to assess potential application of company products or services and offer solutions that meet customer requirements or needs · Collaborate with engineers and sales team to promote the sale of products/services/technical support · Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain and demonstrate, to existing or potential customers, how and why products and services would best serve their needs · Work with customers and production engineering to determine how products or services could be designed or modified to best accommodate the customer · Recommend and/or propose changes in equipment, or use of materials, product or machinery to customers, documenting how such changes will result in cost reduction or operational improvement · Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs · Develop, prepare and present sales proposal/quotation to customer; secure or renew orders · May provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback for future product development · May diagnose problems with product or installed machinery and/or provide consultation PROFESSIONAL SKILLS Customer centric, develop innovative solutions, responsiveness and follow through, new business identification and value proposition.

    Design new engineering products and processes. Research new product ideas and methods. Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers.

    Collaboration and teamwork. Possess a results-orientation. Experience with a complex and long-cycle sales.

    Ability to read drawings and technical specifications with knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solid Works. REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION/SKILLS/ABILITIES Bachelor or Associate degree in Technology or Engineering with seven to ten years of experience, OR equivalent years of experience in Effective oral, written and telephonic communication skills; interpersonal skills; leadership and computer literacy Active listening and negotiation skills; persuasiveness and ability to influence others; social perceptiveness Principles of customer service; problem sensitivity, interpersonal/relationship management Analytical and critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making High level of job and technical knowledge, organization, follow-through; effective management of time and resources
