We are looking for an enthusiastic scientific sales and business development professional who is excited about bringing a brand-new technology to market. The ideal candidate has a solid track record in technical sales/business development of capital equipment in life sciences based on consultative selling and strong interpersonal skills to build strong and lasting relationships. Who we are

Refeyn is developing mass photometry, a new technology for the analysis of biomolecules that measures the mass of single molecules with light. Refeyn spun out the University of Oxfords Department of Chemistry in 2018 and established Refeyn Inc as US subsidiary in 2019. Currently headquartered in Portland (OR), Refeyn Inc is now opening an East coast office which this position is part of. The Refeyn group is uniquely positioned for rapid growth worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrates the complete sales process
  • Prospects and identifies accounts that are good potential clients and proactively networks to establish initial contact and acquire new client relationships for a truly unique and powerful product
  • Develops and executes strategies for key accounts, monitors progress regularly
  • Identify new application fields that can significantly fuel growth

Requirements

  • Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology or other relevant subject
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience in a relevant industry, application experience with motivation to sales will be considered
  • Excellent oral and written communications and organization skills
  • Personal fit to the company culture passionate, proactive and self-managed, driven by quality and achieving results, high level of integrity
  • Regular travel to customers, conferences or workshops (up to 60%)
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
